The stomach is held up and joined to the esophagus for the smooth functioning of the body. This type of surgery also treats gastroesophageal reflux disease, esophageal diverticula, and motility problems.

In bronchoscopy, a bronchoscope (a form of medical equipment) is put into the air tract of the patient for picturing it. This helps the experts in understanding the problems in that area and the treatment can be started accordingly. The bronchoscopes are loaded with a recording device along with a light.
